Yazan Al Bawwab, a 2X Palestinian Olympic swimmer and 2X Arab Swimming Champion (100 backstroke / 50 backstroke ), is also renowned for holding numerous national and Arab swimming records. He competed at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
His academic pursuits led him to earn a Master's degree in International Sports Management from the prestigious University of London (UK). Yazan graduated in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering from Canada and contributed significantly at the InnosportsLab in the Netherlands, focusing on the physics of swimming.
Beyond his athletic endeavors, Yazan is an IOC Young Leader and IOC mentor, and a certified IOC Safeguarding and Wellness Officer. His leadership extends to founding the Palestinian Olympians Association and leading the Palestinian Athletes Commission, representing athletes from both Canada and Palestine in both the IOC (International Olympic Committee) and FISU (International University Sports Federation).
Yazan is the owner of a furniture company that specializes in designing and selling both Italian and custom-made furniture, managing a team of 40 employees. In addition, he serves as the Middle East sales agent for the world’s first lithium-ion battery fire extinguisher. He is also a sports consultant, providing expert guidance and delivering talks globally.
Yazan's multicultural background, being born in Saudi Arabia, raised in Dubai, educated in Canada and the UK, with Italian and Palestinian heritage, and having lived in the Netherlands, now based in Dubai, adds a rich global perspective to his profile.
