Mariya is a 16-year-old with a passion for art and a love for life. Born on August 8, 2008 (08/08/08), her favourite number is unsurprisingly 8. Despite living with cerebral palsy, Mariya does not let it define her. Mariya has been successfully fully integrated into a mainstream school system here, where she is able to thrive both academically and artistically, with dreams of pursuing art at university after completing her GCSEs this year.
Mariya is not only an aspiring artist but also a dedicated athlete. She discovered her love for horse riding at the age of 7, and it has since become her favourite sport. Her passion for it continues to grow, as she enjoys the sense of freedom and connection with the animals. Additionally, Mariya loves attending the weekly CrossFit sessions put on by TOUCH Dubai and always aims to push and challenging herself within the gym to develop her strength. Aside from horse riding and CrossFit, Mariya has a variety of hobbies, including language learning and photography, where her creativity truly shines.
Her positive outlook on life and determination make her an inspiration to everyone around her. Mariya’s love for both the arts and sports fuels her dream of a future where she can express herself freely through her talents.
