Amal Murad left her corporate life as a graphic designer to pursue a career in health and fitness, and went on to become the first Emirati female parkour coach and calisthenics athlete.
She is an extreme sports pioneer and credits physical activity with helping her break barriers.
Amal aims to promote health and fitness through the love of movement and to help women discover their true potential regardless of the obstacles these women may face.
Amal was recognized by Nike, for whom she has been an Ambassador since 2017. Amal continued her education in the fitness world and is now a certified Level 3 Personal Trainer (REPS), a certified Calisthenics Level 2 Instructor (WCO) as well as a certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism Coach (NSCA) after she, herself, became a mother.
Amal is also involved with Leap of Hope, a community built around guiding individuals through fitness no matter what chapter of their lives they are in. The name of this group has special meaning as Amal herself took a leap when she decided to quit my job to pursue personal training full-time.
Additionally, her name, which means hope, switched from a leap of faith to a leap of hope. It’s a pun on words because Amal also “leaps” for a living through her practice of parkour.
Although it is a continuous journey of self-discovery, Amal has never looked back and wants to be a pioneer that inspires the next generation to become leaders in whatever field they choose.
